Update - Alex - Cause of death

  2. Laura Bulawski Says:

Several people in my Bird Club emailed me as soon as Alex’s death became public. Crazy though it sounds, I was so devestated I cried for hours. It was my understanding that Alex had retired and was happily living at home with Dr. Irene Pepperberg, his favorite person. The story went on to say he’d even stopped plucking. That was hard to believe. But it’s much harder to accept his death. Poor Alex. Why is it the death of this parrot seems singularly tragic?
